Since i decided to major in Computer Science, algorithms have been a passion. So, spent most of my last 2 years in College participating in several OPC’s and attending onsite contests whenever i could.
I also fiddled around with several projects during this time including a OpenMosix based load-balancing implementation and a Heterogeneous network File system during my final year ( http://code.google.com/p/hnfs ). Although i intended this to be my FYP, it did not quite materialize for various reasons.
I primarily study number theoretic algorithms and security protocols, specifically for distributed systems. I also hope to pursue my PHD along the same lines.
I interned for Google as part of the Summer of Code program from May-August 2007. I worked on the link-level encryption of Freenet using Just Fast Keying protocol.Following this, i gave a talk at FOSS.IN, 2007 (http://foss.in) at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
I was a founding employee at http://hover.in where i work on Erlang/Yaws and hence my interest in functional programming and computation theory in general.Am in grad school now
Other interests include concurrency models, general computation theory
